About the School

Where clinical science meets community care.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is a constituent school of the College of Health and Allied Sciences, University of Cape Coast. We train undergraduate and postgraduate nurses and midwives through a curriculum that pairs rigorous biomedical science with sustained, supervised clinical placement — producing graduates who are ready for practice from day one.

Our faculty includes practising clinicians, public health researchers and policy advisors, and our students rotate through some of Ghana's busiest teaching hospitals and district health facilities as part of their training.

Prof. Jerry Paul Kukye-Ayiri Ninnoni

Dean, School of Nursing & Midwifery

From the Dean's Desk

A welcome message

Welcome to the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Whether you are a prospective student, a returning alumna, or a partner in health care delivery, you are joining a community built on a simple conviction: that excellent nursing and midwifery practice begins with excellent training.

Our graduates are found at bedsides, in community health posts, in research institutions, and in the corridors where health policy is written. Wherever they stand, they carry the same grounding sound clinical judgement, ethical practice, and a deep respect for the people in their care. I invite you to explore what we do here, and to consider becoming part of it.
